Privacy Policy
The short version
- NoteWings reads your pictures and voice notes on your iPhone. They are not sent to us.
- Your notes are stored on your iPhone and, if iCloud is on for NoteWings, in your private iCloud account. We cannot see them.
- There is no account, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics.
- We only receive what you choose to send us, such as a support email.
Who we are
NoteWings (“we”, “us”) is an app for iPhone and Apple Watch made by Author Time OÜ. Author Time OÜ is a company registered in Estonia (registry code 16123590, Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn) and is the controller of the data this policy covers. This policy covers the NoteWings app, its widgets, its Share extension, its Apple Watch app and this website. You can reach us through the support page.
What the app works with, and where it stays
NoteWings only uses the parts of your iPhone that you allow in iOS, and only for the purpose shown below. You can change any permission at any time in the iOS Settings app.

On-device intelligence
NoteWings uses Apple’s on-device frameworks to recognise text, understand speech, translate text and, on devices that support Apple Intelligence, write titles and summaries. This work happens on your iPhone. iOS may download language resources from Apple to make these features work; that is handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy.
The app does not send your pictures, voice notes, text or notes to us or to any other AI service.
iCloud
If iCloud is turned on for NoteWings on your device, your notes are synced through your own private iCloud account so they appear on your other devices. This data is stored by Apple and protected by your Apple Account. We have no access to it. You can turn this off in iOS Settings under your name, then iCloud.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details or your name. The app checks with the App Store on your device whether a subscription is active.
When you contact us
If you choose to report a problem or suggest an idea from the app, NoteWings opens an email in your mail app. It contains technical details so we can help: app version, device model, iOS version, the app and system language, whether Pro is active, and the number of notes. If there are any, it also has the speed reports iOS made on your iPhone over the last 14 days: how quickly the app opened and responded, memory and battery use, and crash reports. It does not contain your notes, photos or recordings. You can read and change the email before sending it.
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write or attach. We use it only to reply and to fix problems, and delete it when it is no longer needed for that.
What we don’t do
- We don’t require an account or sign-in.
- We don’t show ads or use advertising identifiers.
- We don’t track you across apps or websites.
- We don’t include third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- We don’t sell or share personal data.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your notes stay until you delete them. You can delete a single note in the app, or everything at once in Settings with “Delete All My Data”. If iCloud sync is on, deletions also reach your other devices. Deleting the app removes the data stored on that iPhone. Deleting a note never deletes the original photo from your library.
This website
This website has no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts. Its fonts are served from this site. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, as described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy. If you dismiss the language suggestion, your browser remembers that on your device only.
Children
NoteWings does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because your notes stay on your devices and in your iCloud, you can manage them directly in the app. For anything you have emailed us, write to us and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we change how NoteWings handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect in the app.
